Rely on our strength and leadership to ensure your future.
In 2004, The Covington welcomed its first residents to a new and truly distinctive lifestyle, an unusually delightful climate and ocean breezes, all within a secluded neighborhood of luxurious conveniences.
To maintain our vibrant atmosphere and contemporary style, we underwent a major renovation and remodeling in 2014—very uncommon for a senior living community only 10 years old. Our interior redesign and enhancements earned two national awards among 55+ communities, and were showcased on the Fall 2015 cover of EFA magazine.
The Covington is one of three not-for-profit Life Plan senior living communities developed expressly by our not-for-profit owner/operator, Episcopal Communities & Services, Inc. (ECS). In pursuit of their mission to serve seniors, ECS has been a premier provider of quality care for seniors for nearly 100 years.
|It all began with a determined deaconess and her dime collection.|
Deaconess Sophie Miller helped establish the first Episcopal Home in Alhambra, CA, in 1923, for the purpose of caring for widows of Episcopal priests. She did it literally by gathering donations one dime at a time.
We invite you to learn more about our evolution into the innovative and diverse Episcopal Communities & Services of today, and the many ways we serve and enrich the lives of seniors of all faiths, ages and economic backgrounds on our campuses.
